NEY PATHIRRI / NEY PATHAL/ DEEP FRIED RICE ROTI /  BREAD

INGREDIENTS

RAW RICE- 1 1/2 CUPS - PONNIYARI/ PACHARI / PUZHUKKALARI

SHALLOTS- 1/2 CUP
FENNEL SEEDS- 2 TABLESPOONS
GRATED COCONUT - 1 CUP
SALT
RICE FLOUR

OIL

PREPARATION

SOAK RICE  IN HOT WATER

SOAK TILL WATER COOLS

DRAIN WATER

GRIND RICE, FENNEL, COCONUT, SHALLOTS WITH LITTLE WATER INTO A SMOOTH PASTE

IF THERE IS EXCESS WATER ADD SUFFICIENT RICE FLOUR

MIX WELL WITH SALT
MAKE SMALL BALLS

PRESS WITH YOUR HANDS LIKE POORI 

NOW HEAT OIL IN A WOK

DEEP FRY  BOTH SIDES
IT WILL PUFFS UP
