Method

1. Cook the pasta

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add salt and pasta.

  • Cook until al dente, stirring occasionally so it doesn’t stick.

  • Drain and toss with olive oil or butter to prevent clumping.

2. Make the homemade pizza sauce

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

  • Add garlic and onion, sauté until fragrant and translucent.

  • Add chopped or pureed tomatoes and stir well.

  • Season with oregano, basil, chili flakes, black pepper, and salt.
