AVAL/ RICE FLAKES  PUTTU

INGREDIENTS

AVAL / RICE FLAKES /POHA -1 CUP

GRATED COCONUT-1/4 CUP
GRATED JAGGERY- 1 CUP

GHEE-2 TABLESPOONS
CARDAMOM POWDER- 1 TABLESPOON

PREPARATION

SLIGHTLY HEAT AVAL AND COARSELY GRIND IT IN A BLENDER 

TAKE IT IN A BOWL AND SPRINKLE SOME WATER AND MIX IT WELL

DISSOLVE THE GRATED JAGGERY IN A  LITTLE BOILING WATER
WHEN IT DISSOLVES , STRAIN IT


TAKE A HEAVY BOTTOM VESSEL
NOW ADD JAGGERY AND COCONUT  AND STIRR WELL
TO CHECK THE CORRECT CONSISTENCY, TAKE A LITTLE SOLUTION AND DROP IT IN WATER.  IF IT FORMS A BALL, IT IS THE CORRECT CONSISTENCY

NOW LOWER THE FLAME
ADD AVAL MIXTURE LITTLE BY LITTLE TO THIS
MIX IT WELL FOR 4-5 MINUTES

WHEN AVAL MIXTURE BREAKS DOWN WELL,  ADD GHEE AND CARDAMOM POWDER
MIX WELL

REMOVE FROM FLAME
