Ingredients:

Fresh grated coconut – 1 cup

Green chilies – 2

Ginger – ½ inch piece

Roasted chana dal (pottukadala) – 2 tbsp (optional)

Salt – as required

Water – as required
For Tempering (Tadka):

Coconut oil – 1 tsp

Mustard seeds – ½ tsp

Curry leaves – few

Dry red chili – 1
Preparation:

Grind coconut, green chilies, ginger, roasted chana dal, and salt with enough water to make a smooth paste.

Transfer to a bowl.

Heat coconut oil, splutter mustard seeds, add dry red chili and curry leaves.
