BANANA BLOSSOM CURRY/ VAZHAKOOMBU/ KUDAPPAN THORAN

INGREDIENTS

BANANA BLOSSOM- 1;  CHOPPED INTO VERY FINE PIECES LIKE CABBAGE

RED CHILLY POWDER- 1/2 TABLESPOON
TURMERIC POWDER- 1/2 TABLESPOON

GINGER- 1 INCH PIECE
GRATED COCONUT- 1/2 CUP

GARLIC - 1 CLOVE

SHALLOTS-3 
GREEN CHILLY - 1

COCONUT OIL- 3 TABLESPOONS

MUSTARD-1
DRIED RED CHILLY-2
BLACK GRAM - 1 TABLESPOON
CURRY LEAVES- 1 SPRIG

SALT

PREPARATION

COOK BANANA BLOSSOM WITH RED CHILLY AND TURMERIC POWDER AND SALT.


CRUSH COCONUT, SHALLOT , GREEN CHILLIES, 1 DRIED RED CHILLY, GINGER, GARLIC

HEAT OIL.  ADD MUSTARD, DRIED RED CHILLIES, BLACKGRAM AND CURRY LEAVES.  ADD THE CRUSHED MIXTURE AND FRY FOR 1 MINUTE.  

ADD THE COOKED BANANA BLOSSOM
