PARIPPU VADA / DAAL FRITTERS

INGREDIENTS

TUVARA PARIPPU/ TOOR DAAL- 1 CUP

DRY RED CHILLIES-2
GREEN CHILLIES-6; CHOPPED
SHALLOTS- 8; CHOPPED
GINGER- 2 INCH PIECE; CHOPPED
CURRY LEAVES- 8

TURMERIC POWDER- A PINCH

OIL

SALT


PREPARATION

SOAK PARIPPU IN WATER FOR AT LEAST FOR 2 HOURS

DRAIN WATER KEEPASIDE TILL IT BECOMES DRY

GRIND PARIPPU COARSELY IN A BLENDER
PUT IT IN A LARGE BOWEL

MIX WITH SALT, CHOPPED GINGER , SHALLOTS , CURRY LEAVES, GREEN CHILLIES, CRUSHED DRIED RED CHILLIES AND TURMERIC POWDER
MIX WELL

MAKE INTO SMALL BALLS
PRESS IN THE PALM AND PLACE IT IN A PLATE

HEAT OIL IN A KADAI AND DEEP FRY IT IN MEDIUM FLAME
